For sale is my CARF classic lightning. I bought this recently from someone who is giving up flying turbine models.
I bought it as a small project, The airframe is in very good strong condition with no repairs and you could go and fly it as is once you have set up the movements and the CG.
The paint work from a distance is ok but if you get close you can see it is a bit tatty and ideally if you wanted a show model would benefit from being rubbed down and resprayed to make it look immaculate.
I have removed the existing servos from the model and fitted brand new servos as follows aileron (Savox 1270tg+), flap (Savox 2290sg), Nose wheel steering servo (Savox 1270tg+), rudder servo (Savox 1270tg+)
The original JR8921 nx high voltage servos are still on the elevator.
The model is fitted with air retracts, has jettronic air valves for the gear and gear doors and a xicoy valve for the brakes. I was planning on removing the gear and fitting electron gear legs and brakes. The gear is fitted with trailing link undercarriage but included in the sale are a set of new straight legs for the mains.
The model is fitted with a Jetsmunt 200 turbine with 11.5 hours on the clock.
Also included in the sale is a spare fuselage, canopy and fin.
The model is currently fitted with a Powerbox mercury sr2 which can be left in or removed and price adjusted.
I’ve decided to sell the model as I want to focus on scale models instead of sports jets
£2750 no mercury sr2 or £3000 with mercury.
