Ill health has forced me to all but give up the hobby. I’ve delayed selling these but they’ve been sat doing nothing since 2017, so it’s time to sell.

I wanted the best speeds in the country, if not Europe/the world – here they are!! No expense spared builds. The motor/ESC combo for each Heli was £1,200 alone! Each Heli cost over £3,000 to build. Both helis are built to very high standard by a very experienced helicopter builder/flyer. You will not find better.

Speed 1 (yellow & black). THIS HAS NO SPEED CONTROLLER
Custom canomod Sharky canopy. Bert Kammerer digital high speed, high torque, high volts servos throughout, Special Edition Xnova Speed 535kv motor, This power train delivers a massive 11,000 watts of power. Spartan VX1 gyro & governor, (perfect for Speed flying & equally capable of 3D). Custom built Arduino GPS unit (can track the helis speed, position, etc, all viewable on custom speed flying app for later analysis. (This is best way to improve technique), RCPro Plus connectors throughout (eradicates solder melting during flight). The Heli has had less than 10 flights in total, and only four flights with the current setup, (includes initial test hover & gyro trim flight & two short proving flights). So all electronics are barely used. This Heli has yet to be flown in anger.

Speed 2 (black & red)
SAB standard canopy, Align digital high speed, high torque, high volts servos throughout, Special Edition Xnova Speed 535kv motor, YGE 320HV speed controller (320 constant, 420A burst), This power train delivers a massive 11,000 watts of power. Spartan VX1N gyro & governor, (perfect for Speed flying & equally capable of 3D). Custom built Arduino GPS unit (can track the helis speed, position, etc, all viewable on custom speed flying app for later analysis. (This is best way to improve technique), RCPro Plus connectors throughout (eradicates solder melting during flight). This Heli has not been flown with the current setup. I purchased the bare airframe a number of years ago as a spare. I only finished building it yesterday. All of the electronics in this helicopter are two flights old (taken from my SAB Comet, recently sold) – One very short test hover/gryo trim flight, and one short proving flight. Again, this helicopter has yet to be flown in anger.

Both helis can be flown on either 12s or 14s with a simple pinion change. No other changes are necessary. Needless to say both helis are in superb condition.

Included in sale is nearly £1,000 of spares including BNIB Yellow canopy/tail, Orange canopy/tail, Sharky canopy/tail (see photos). & spare motor shafts (the motors will last a lifetime). Most spares are still readily available for these helis because most parts are standard Goblin 700/competition.

When I first powered my yellow Speed up at my local flying club all of my mates were so intimidated by the noise during start up that they ran a long way back from the landing strip!! Not returning until the trim flight had finished!!

These are without a doubt the most intimidating helis I’ve ever seen!! Even my Comet seemed less intimidating!!

This is the ideal package for anybody wanting to get into Heli speed flying, or big air sport flying!!

In total this speed package represents nearly £7,000 investment. Ideally I’d like to sell the whole package for £4,600. But I will split the package and sell helis for £2,000 each, each new canopy/tail combo for £225 each, other spares individually priced as appropriate.
