The plane originally came with a locked Spektrum Flight Controller and an E-flite 30amp ESC. Both of these components have been removed and replaced with a better Spektrum AR631 receiver and Spektrum Avian Lite SMART 45amp ESC. There is also the addition of the Spektrum 13g Metal Gear Servo (SPMSA382) which has been added to make flaps on the main wing.

The benefits of these three upgrades allows:

– Better functionality of the receiver which can be accessed from forward programming. The previous Flight Controller receiver locks the user from making any modifications. The Spektrum AR631 receiver now allows AS3X gains and SAFE envelope to be fine tuned, DSM2 and DSMX protocol, smart telemetry and the range is significantly enhanced. You will need a compatible transmitter to access forward programming.

– The previous E-flite 30amp ESC locks user to 3S capability only. The newly installed Spektrum Avian Lite 45amp SMART ESC now allows use of 4S batteries which takes the plane to a whole new level of use: more speed, stronger climb rate, able to hover and better aerobatics can be performed.

– Reverse thrust now enabled on this plane which better helps with ground taxiing and water taxiing especially when using with compatible floats for water take offs and control.

– Addition of flaps to allow STOL characteristics – short take off, slow and stable flights as well as smooth/slow landings.

In this sale includes:

– 1x Carbon Cub S2 1.3m BNF RC plane in very good condition. The usual hangar rash is inevitable but it is very limited. The plane has had no crashes and is in very good condition from a confident and proficient RC plane pilot.
– 2x propellers (1x original 9×6 black propeller + 1x E Flite 9 x 6 Inch EP Propeller with matching colour scheme of yellow and black).
– Original box and manuals.
– Spare screws.

This is the perfect first plane for someone new and looking to get into the hobby. You can still use the 3S Li-Po batteries until you become a confident pilot to then progress to using 4S LiPos. Otherwise, this makes a perfect second-plane purchase for those looking to jump straight into excitement and having good experience of already flying RC planes.

Due to the nature of its size and the delicate nature of this hobby, it is strictly for COLLECTION ONLY FROM EALING, WEST LONDON (W7). Unfortunately, postage cannot be offered.

The buyer will be able to fully inspect the plane, all its control throws and components are functioning in perfect working condition.

The RRP for the BNF Basic version of this plane is £292. This does not include the upgrades of the components to the plane that is being offered with my listing. A Spektrum AR631 receiver is typically sold for £90, the Avian Lite 45amp SMART ESC is sold for £60 and the SPMSA382 Servo for the flaps function is typically sold for £19.
