The Folkestone Model Aero Club is looking for new members.
Ours is a small club of long standing. We fly from a secluded beautiful field overlooking Lydden in Kent. Just off the A2 near Dover.
The 80 metre strip is maintained in good condition by the members and runs from northeast to southwest into the prevailing wind.
Convenient parking: Park right in the pits and enjoy easy access to you model.
If conditions aren’t favourable unload in adjacent woodland.
We fly 7 days a week using fixed wing models predominantly.
We can offer trial flights for beginners who are interested in taking up the sport, using a buddy box so that the instructor can take over at short notice should the need arise!
The setting is beautiful.

BMFA membership and CAA registration are of course compulsory for anyone joining but ours is not a meetings, rules and regulations sort of club. Obviously BMFA guidelines and CAA rules must be followed but we are not rivet counters!
