The Rolls-Royce (Hucknall) Model Aircraft Club is a BMFA Affiliated Club and is looking to expand its membership.
Many fliers locally and around the Midlands are under the misapprehension that members must be Rolls-Royce employees or have some other connection to Rolls-Royce or its Heritage Trust. This is wrong because we are open to all.
Our flying site is at Underwood, Just 2 minutes from J27 on the M1 motorway and members fly 7 days per week and the club has several training aircraft to help with trial flights and teaching new members the basics of model flight and with buddy boxes if required. We also have our own BMFA examiners.
We fly all disciplines with the exception of jets and are happy to advise on what models and what gear to purchase, for those who are just starting out in the hobby.
Club fees are £35 for the year but junior membership (under 16 ) is free. There is no joining fee but BMFA membership & CAA registration is compulsory.
The flying field has vehicular access, right up to the pits.
Our monthly meetings, on the First Thursday of every month starting at 8pm, have guest speakers … why not COME ALONG NEXT THURSDAY – JUNE 5th . Our guest will be talking about the your family history research.
