Located near Bridlingon and Filey, we welcome new members of all abilities.
WHMFC is a small club of around 30 members, of mixed abilities. We have unrestricted access to a 3.5 acre field, with closely mown runways suitable for most wind directions. We fly a mixture of electric and ic models, fixed wing, heli, and multi-rotor, with no restrictions on time of use – just common sense!
We have a number of club models on which we can tutor new flyers, or those who want to take a step back into the hobby.
We have a number of regular visiting flyers who enjoy our field, and the relaxed atmosphere we foster.
We offer annual membership, with free membership for children. We also accept visitors, for a small daily fee.
We do not insist on any BMFA or equivalent Achievement Scheme, but members and visitors are only permitted to fly solo if they hold a BMFA ‘A’ scheme (or equivalent national body) or above, OR have given a satisfactory demonstration flight to any experienced club member. All flyers must be current BMFA (or equivalent) Members.
Our field is not suitable for gas turbines.
During the winter months (October – March), we have indoor flying at a local sports hall, for a small fee – all BMFA (or equivalent) members welcome.
